Offensive security engineer. Self-taught since 2003, starting in a USMC barracks — barracks coder to security engineer is the whole arc.
Day to day that’s web apps, Active Directory, cloud and containers. Off hours it’s building the tooling, then writing down exactly how it broke — a robot that shouldn’t have been on my network, an IP finder that phones nobody home, an MCP server that remembers the engagement so I don’t have to.
I build before I break. It’s hard to take something apart honestly if you’ve never had to make one stand up.
